Shipyard: Mykolaiv ‘Naval’. Laid Down: 1902. Launched: 1903. Commissioned: 1903.

This ship played an active role in WWI, with an active Ukrainian organisation on-board. On the 12th July 1917 it was the first ship in the Black Sea Fleet to raise the Ukrainian flag. In the autumn of that year the crew of the ship agreed that the Ukrainian flag would not be lowered and started to demand that officers on the ship should be Ukrainian. In December 1917, together with the ‘Pamiat Merkuria’ she was stationed in Odesa. However, the ship soon came into Bolshevik hands. Nevertheless, on the 29th April 1918 she raised the Ukrainian flag once more.
